» Thiruvananthapuram :

The
capital city of Kerala is known as the 'City of the Sacred Snake'. Named
after the name of Anantha, the thousand-headed serpent of Hindu mythology,
Trivandrum, is known situated on the seven hills. Once an integral part of
Travancore kingdom, this city has some of the most pristine beaches and
abundant nature beauty.
» Alappuzha/Alleppey :
Referred as the 'Venice of the East' in the whole world, Alleppey is known
for its some of the enchanting backwaters, beaches, marine products and coir
industry besides famous boat races held annually.
» Periyar/Thekkady :
This beautiful town has one famous wildlife sanctuary, a tiger reserve and
a lot of exotic excursions.
» Kollam :
An old Portuguese fort and some churches dating back to 18th century, are a
priceless collection of this seaside village. Thangasseri Lighthouse,
Sabrimala temple of Mayyanad, Rameshwara temple, Sasthamhotta, Ochira,
Kulathupuzha, Thenmala and Palaruvi waterfalls are other attractions of

Cochin.
» Idukki :
Its famous wildlife sanctuary is home to elephants, bison, samba deer, wild
dog, wild boar, cobra, viper and krait snakes and other rarefied species of
animals.
» Kannur :
This city boasts to have contributed in the cultural, religious, political
and industrial heritage of the state. Pristine beaches of Dharmadam,
Kizhunna Ezhara, Payyambalam and Ezhimala are the prime attractions of the
city.
» Kasaragod :
The 'Land of Gods' is known for its mighty forts, green covered hills and
serene beaches. The largest and the best preserved fort in the state -Bekal
Fort- is another jewel in the crown of this city.
» Kozhikode/Calicut :
The capital city of erstwhile rulers of Zamorins, attracts the tourists for
its pristine beaches, historical sites, rivers, hills, wildlife sanctuaries
and locals famous for their warm hospitality.
» Kottayam :
This city of multi-coloured locales is situated between Western Ghats and
Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, just 16 km from Kottayam, attracts
a large number of migratory birds.
