Introduction
An erstwhile getaway for the British to escape the ruthless summers of the plains, this famous hill resort of Kerala still maintains its significance as a prime tourist spot for travellers of India and beyond. This small town of Idukki district of Kerala is often described as 'Switzerland of India'. Kundala, Mudrapuzha and Nallathani, these three mountain streams merge here. It is also proud to have 1600 m high peak of Anamudi, highest in South India. More than thirty tea gardens are in and around Munnar. That's why it has emerged as a tea trade centre in the country. Ride a bicycle down the slope and let it pick up its own pace. Just sense the salubrious breeze caressing you and capture mind-blowing magic of nature spread everywhere at this enchanting place.
